Our Wedding Day

As most of you know, Kevin and I tied the knot on July 10, 2010 in front of our families and friends. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better day. The weather was gorgeous, the ceremony was breathtaking (although, I am a tad biased) the reception was amazing, and the memories made were something we will both cherish for the rest of our lives. We are so blessed for so many reasons! Kevin and I would like to sincerely thank each and every person for being a part of our special day – it wouldn’t have been what it was without you!
Here is a picture of all the girls leaving the hotel the morning of the wedding. We were on our way to the salon!

The final product! Amy and Debbie did such a great job with all of our hair that day! We had a blast with them and loved every minute of it!Throughout our entire wedding planning process, people kept telling us to take it all in because the day would go fast, and now I know exactly what they meant. If I think about it too much, it actually makes me sad to look back and think how fast that day went. Thankfully our wonderful families and friends were armed with digital cameras and video cameras to help document our special day!

The finished product: My wonderful, lovely, beautiful ladies!

Our wedding took place at 2:30. All of the girls, myself included, were ready to go by 1:00. As you can imagine, we were all a bundle of nerves downstairs while we anxiously awaited our debut down the aisle. It was so warm that day, and the basement was no cool escape. We were sweating and trying to keep as cool as possible, but it was rather difficult. At one point in time we tried to put the fan under my dress – that was a sight to see. So, what about the guys, you ask? I’ll let this picture answer your question…
For some reason unknown to the sweating ladies downstairs in the church basement, the guys were in an air conditioned room – totally unfair, right? I mean, my dress only weighed a ton! (Not to mention, my arm literally hurt the next day from holding my gorgeous bouquet – it was super heavy, but equally gorgeous!) After all was said and done, Kevin and I finally said our vows and became Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Rush!

  1. I read in your New Year's post that you just celebrated your 1st anniversary this year. So did my DH and I! We were married just 6 days after you on July 16, 2010 (and we had gerbera daisy bouquets too!).
