Phew, we made it to Friday! Another long week has come and gone, and I couldn’t be happier to see the weekend 🙂 Tonight, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers for “5 on Friday”…feel free to join in and link up your own post!
ONE This has been an emotionally draining week. This past Spring, we suffered a miscarriage. It was truly devastating and something that I haven’t talked about until now. Our sweet angel baby would have been due this week. Thinking about the fact that we could have been holding another glorious miracle baby in our arms has left my heart absolutely aching. We are all too familiar with that sting you feel every time a pregnancy is announced. For those of you that are new here, we dealt with Infertility for nearly two years before having Jonah. I guess that I’m scared. I’m scared that another baby is not in our future. We are quickly approaching the year mark as we try to bring our second child into the world, and I can’t help but think that I am back to being broken. Those thoughts aside, when I came across this on Pinterest, I couldn’t help but smile: TWO Jonah is feeling much better 🙂 He is back to his normal nightly shenanigans of literally emptying the contents of our kitchen onto the floor. After the 5th or 6th time of putting everything back in it’s place, only to have it strewn across the floor again minutes later, I’ve given up. You win, little man. For the record, we do have child safety latches on all of our cupboards. Unfortunately, the latches will not work in any of our drawers or the Lazy Susan. It would make my life SO much easier if we could find something that would work on them. Our drawers house all of our utensils, and our Lazy Susan serves as part spice rack, park pantry. Do you have any ideas? I’d love to hear them! THREE Amazon is amazing. The only thing more amazing than Amazon itself, is Amazon Prime 🙂 Since I am still working on my Master’s degree, I can get Amazon Prime for $39 a year through Amazon Student. Free two day shipping on almost anything? I would be crazy not to take advantage of it. We are always ordering from Amazon, so the cost of Prime pays for itself quickly! 🙂 Here are my three latest Amazon purchases, because I always enjoy seeing what other people buy 🙂 Jellycat Bashful Monkey I was introduced to the Jellycat brand of stuffed animals shortly before Jonah was born
and now we are HOOKED. They are the softest, most durable, and wonderful quality
stuffed animals I have ever seen. Jonah LOVES them, and he has quite a few! We try
and buy him once for each holiday 🙂 This little guy is one of his Valentine’s Day presents! He also
has the Alligator, a few Bunnies, and the Hedgehog 🙂 Boon Sippy Cup I’m obsessed with baby and toddler products. We have almost every sippy cup under the
sun. Our favorites are definitely Nuby and Tommy Tippee, although recently we have found
a few Nuk that we like as well! Thankfully, Jonah isn’t picky 🙂 When I saw this on Amazon, I had to
order it! I hope he likes the unique design! Amber Teething Necklace We have held off on trying this for such a long time. Jonah’s molars are coming in, and they
are definitely the worst ones yet for him. I feel so awful when I see how inflamed and sore
his gums look. We have tried Hyland’s Teething Tablets and every other suggestion under the sun.
The teething tablets don’t work for him at all, and I don’t like giving him Motrin unless it is absolutely
necessary. We have tried the frozen yogurt drops and freezing water in little freeze pop sleeves, which
he LOVES! I’ve heard so many great stories about Baltic Amber, though, so we are going to give it a whirl. What was your last purchase from Amazon? Care to share? 🙂 FOUR
I started watching this show on Netflix last Spring while I was on maternity leave, and recently started watching it again. I’m determined to get caught up, and I can’t get enough! 🙂 FIVE This blog post was totally needed after this week. Amazing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did 🙂 Happy Friday, friends! What are your plans for the weekend? 🙂
