Hi everyone! Today on the blog I’d like to share another one of our favorite Nuby products with you. Like many toddler parents, we have tried every sippy cup available on God’s green Earth. We have our favorites, and we have the ones we’ve chucked out the window out of frustration…joking, joking. In all seriousness though, it’s HARD to find a good sippy cup that doesn’t leak and can withstand life with a toddler 🙂
Enter, Nuby Clik-it No Spill Insulated Cool Sipper. These cups are probably one of our favorites at this stage of the game. They only have three pieces: the cup, the lid, and the rubber insert that goes inside the lid. I will admit, putting the rubber back in the lid after washing can be a pain in the butt, but I just have my hubby do it 🙂 On the plus side though, the rubber piece fits in the lid tightly which is the reason these cups don’t leak. When you secure the lid, you’ll hear a “click” letting you know that the lid is on and secured properly. I prefer these sippies to the Munchkin brand click cups. I only have problems with those and after a few uses the threading gets warped and leaks ensue.
I liked this cup so much that we actually went out and bought a few more. We have four of them total, and they are always the ones we are reaching for – especially for traveling in the diaper bag.
Nuby recommends that these cups be used with children 18 months and up, but obviously some children may be ready for them before that. The idea behind the design of this sippy cup is that it helps get children ready for open cup drinking. The cups hold 9 ounces of your child’s favorite beverage (water or milk here) and as always they are BPA free. The insulated nature of these sippy cups keeps whatever is inside cooler for a longer period of time. We send these cups to the sitter with Jonah every morning. We fill one with ice water and one with milk, and even after our hour commute, we still hear the ice rattling around inside 🙂
The lid is unique in itself thanks to Nuby’s Touch-Flo Technology. This technology activates as soon as your child puts his or her mouth on the spout releasing the contents of the cup. Like I said, these are definitely a favorite in our house and we’ve even found ourselves tossing other sippy cups to make room for more of these!
