Happy Friday, friends! It’s hard to believe that in just one more week we’ll be closing the door on January and welcoming a new month. February is right around the corner, and it’s never too early to start thinking about Valentine’s Day!
About a week ago, I decided to take some Valentine’s Day photos of the boys. The photo session went exactly as I had pictured it – Luca was an angel and even let me capture a big gummy grin, and Jonah had to be bribed. With M&Ms. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about having a two year old, it is that we are not above bribery. Please, don’t judge…they were mini M&Ms, and we traded one for each pose 😉
Here are a few of my favorites!
A few days after I took these photos, I received an e-mail from Minted asking if I would review their website and the products they have to offer. With the thought of wanting to do something special with our Valentine’s Day photos in the back of my mind, I was of course more than willing to check it out and see what I could find.
The website itself is extremely organized and really easy to navigate. It wasn’t hard to find the seasonal portion of the website. Soon, I was browsing through Valentine’s Day card after Valentine’s Day card, and they were all so perfect!
I would have to say that my favorite Valentine’s Day cards that Minted offers are the foil-pressed ones.
Glitter, gold, silver, and sparkles…definitely a trend that we’ll be seeing a lot of in 2015! I just love all of the designs! Feel free to check out all of their foil-pressed cards here.
Now, of course Jonah & Luca aren’t in school yet (I don’t even want to think about them being old enough for that!) However, I am a teacher, and know just how special Valentine’s Day in elementary school can be. Minted offers all kinds of classroom Valentines and they are just adorable!
These ones would surely appeal to some of my 6th graders. I love how you can also personalize them with a photo and your child’s name.
How cute are these? I love how simple they are.
If you aren’t into a photo Valentine, there are also a ton of designs offering cute graphics!
One of the things I find most unique about Minted is the fact that it offers products designed by many different artists! I absolutely love this, because it gives up-and-coming artists a chance to show their art to the world. You can upload your own pictures into the artists’ designs and create some pretty stunning gifts, not only for Valentine’s Day, but for all occasions. I absolutely love these letter overlays and am thinking about getting a “J” and an “L” framed for the boys! It’s really nice that you can also click on an artist’s name and be taken to their shop within Minted. From there, you can see all of their designs.
Another section I just had to check out was the wedding invitation section. Yes, it’s true…I’m a total sap and sucker for all things wedding. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been getting a ton of wedding photography inquiries lately? Either way, I couldn’t resist sneaking a peek, and goodness – where were these options when I got married?
As you can probably already tell, I really love everything I have seen that Minted has to offer. ALL of their products are customizable and can be tailored to fit your specific needs. Yes, they are a tad on the expensive side, but I am a firm believer in the age-old saying, “You get what you pay for.”
A few more things I love about Minted that are worth mentioning:
1. If there is a sale going on, or a certain coupon code that soon expires, and you don’t have your photos ready to go for the product you want to order…you can complete your order and upload the photo later! Amazing, right?
2. If you aren’t photo-editing savvy and have a photo you love with an imperfection you don’t love, you can make an note of what you would like fixed and the designer will take care of it for you! Of course, special requests may incur an extra charge.
3. Minted has partnered with Plant-It 2020, which is a non-profit organization. It was founded by the late folk singer, John Denver. Plant-It 2020 plants indigenous tree seedlings in non-logging sites. Minted will contribute to planting 100,000 trees from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015 – a number that represents roughly 7 times the amount of tree material used to print their products.
Have you heard of Minted before? Will you be checking out any of their products? What are your favorites? Have a happy weekend, everyone!
